LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 44-year-old man was arrested Tuesday following a deadly shooting in the west valley.
Eric Perry appeared in court Wednesday morning and is facing an open murder charge in what police say was a domestic-related shooting that left one man dead. It happened Tuesday morning around 9:30 a.m. at an apartment complex on Flamingo Road, near El Capitan Way.
Officers arrived at the Broadstone Flamingo West apartment complex and found a man in his late 40s suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was transported to UMC Trauma, and later pronounced dead.
“We are still trying to determine what transpired inside the apartment. We’re getting some conflicting stories,” Lt. Ray Spencer with LVMPD said in a press briefing on Tuesday.
The victim, brother and mother live in the apartment together. They say the mother called 911 and reported that her son had been shot.
A judge said in court Wednesday that Perry is being detained without bail.
