An intersection in Summerlin that has been closed since 8:55 a.m. due to a deadly crash is expected to reopen soon.
According to Metro Police, the wreck that caused the death of a 78-year-old man involved two vehicles when it occurred at Lake Mead Boulevard and Sun City Boulevard.
Police said a black Dodge was heading west on Lake Mead Blvd. and a 4 Runner was going eastbound when the two cars came to a point where they had to yield, but one vehicle didn’t, so they crashed.
The senior citizen was taken to the hospital where he was declared dead.
No word on the other driver’s condition.
Metro Police are still investigating to see who was at fault.
