LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The iconic SAHARA Las Vegas resort-casino has officially returning to the Las Vegas Strip.
“The return of SAHARA Las Vegas to The Strip is significant for the city,” Alex Meruelo, SAHARA Las Vegas owner, said in a press release. “The reimagining of this iconic resort will enable an enhanced guest experience that runs contrary to the megaresorts that that have recently dominated the Las Vegas landscape.”
Earlier Thursday morning, cast members of the Blanc de Blanc cabaret show toasted to its bright future.
“We are very excited to be here at the Sahara, start tonight, right?” said Monsieur Romeo, Blanc de Blanc’s maître d’. “This is my beautiful cast, and we are going to have a huge party every night.”
The resort is spending over $150 million to renovate everything from hotel rooms and corridors to a soon-to-be unveiled hotel lobby, glamorous casino floor and new pool experience.
