LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A 70-year-old man is dead after a crash involving a vehicle in the northeast Valley. The incident occurred around 3:19 p.m. at the intersection of Owens Avenue and Eastern Avenue.
According to police, the pedestrian was crossing Eastern Avenue south of the intersection with Owens. That’s when a 1991 Ford F-150 hit the pedestrian, forcing him to the ground.
Police say the pedestrian was taken to UMC Trauma, where they later died.
The driver of the F-150 remained at the scene and did not display any signs of impairment, according to police. Police also say speed does not appear to be a factor in the crash.
This crash is still under investigation.
