LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Some Las Vegas valley neighborhoods are drying out after record rainfall overnight. Although McCarran International Airport recorded .77 inches of rain, some neighborhoods in the north and northwest valley received as much a 1.5 inches.
The most rain recorded in the 24-hour period was 1.69 inches at Smoke Ranch Road and Buffalo Drive. This is the fourth wettest March on record and more rain is possible Friday night and over the weekend.
The heavy rain did cause flooding in some areas of the valley.
Lee Canyon is reporting nine inches of fresh snow.
