After a wet first afternoon of Spring, there will be more passing showers Thursday.
Lightning was also spotted in the mountains early this morning and there could be more thunderstorms in the valley through the day as the cold air with this storm system pushes through.
While rain amounts are not expected to be heavy, some areas could see moderate downpours lasting for a short time along with gusty winds and lightning.
Snow continues in the mountains today with a Winter Weather Advisory issued overnight and lasting until 8 p.m. Thursday evening. Lee Canyon has reported 4″ to 6″ of new snow with snow currently falling. This storm will be ending Thursday night and it will be back to sunny skies by Friday.
