LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — UPDATE: Clark County Fire sent 8 News NOW a correction say that the fire near Valley View and Russell Road was propane tanks on fire, not container cars like they originally thought.
“The incident was originally reported as rail cars that were on fire, but upon arrival firefighters found 2 propane tanks involved in flame. Firefighters made an offensive attack and knocked the fire down at a reported time of 630PM. No injuries were reported. Damage has not been estimated. The fire is under investigation.”
ORIGINAL STORY: Clark County firefighters are working to put out multiple container car fires in the 6000 block of S. Valley View Drive.
No other details were released. Use caution walking or driving in the area, for there is a lot of smoke, and it could affect visibility and air quality.
