Police say an employee of an apartment complex in the 1900 block of North Jones Boulevard, near Lake Mead Boulevard, found the woman’s body during a welfare check.
Upon arrival, officers located a dead female with several lacerations. The investigation conducted by LVMPD Homicide detectives determined a relative had not heard from the woman for several days and was concerned due to the victim’s medical history.
When management entered the apartment, they found the victim dead. Detectives believe the suspect may have been known to the victim. The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
