Police search for man who allegedly stole puppies from Boca Park pet store

Local News

Metro Police want valley locals to be on the look out for a man they say broke into a pet store to steal puppies.

The theft occurred early Friday morning at the Petland in Boca Park near Charleston and Rampart.

The store manager told 8 News NOW the man who broke into the store’s front window, grabbed the two puppies and ran out.

The blonde hair suspect with a beard was also carrying a skateboard when he broke in and took the dogs.

One dog the man took is a 1.5 pound Pomeranian.  Because the puppy is small, managers say he could go into hypoglycemic shock if he’s not cared for properly.

The second dog is a 12 pound, 12-week-old, female German Shephard.

Both dogs are microchipped, and the store’s owner is willing to offer a reward to anyone with any information leading to an arrest.

They had the front window replaced Friday morning, and now they plan to watch the store around the clock.

Anyone with information about the theft of these dogs is asked to call Metro police.
