In the group of people, the Trooper noticed a woman with a gun. It is believed that she was the shooter.
Based on preliminary investigation, Lt. Ray Spencer with Metro police says they have discovered that Stribling approached the food truck and got into an argument with the workers. According to witness interviews, police believe he pulled a gun on the food truck workers. Then, the female worker fired her gun at Stribling, killing him. It is not yet known if he fired any rounds.
Police also say they think the woman is Stribling’s sister-in-law.
Police are not yet sure if the woman will be charged, or if this is a self-defense situation.
This is an ongoing investigation. Police say they will be interviewing “quite a few witnesses” at the scene.
