Police investigating homicide near Maryland Pkwy., Bonanza Rd.

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide at Maryland Parkway and Bonanza Road.

The man was shot near a convenience store around. A store clerk called police around 7 a.m. to report the shooting.

According to police, the victim, described as a Hispanic man in his 20s, got into an altercation with someone while walking along 11 Street and was running toward the store for help when he was shot from behind.

“There was a store clerk and a witness who immediately rendered aid along with the clerk,” said Lt. Ray Spencer, LVMPD.

Police are checking surveillance cameras in the area looking for more clues in the case. Anyone who might have information is asked to contact Metro, or Crimestoppers, if they wish to remain anonymous. The number is (702) 385-5555.
