LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police took a 31-year-old man into custody following a deadly shooting at a motel on the Las Vegas Strip early Monday morning.
Bryan Contreras was arrested and booked into Clark County Detention Center on one count of being a prohibited person in possession of a firearm.
According to Metro police, the incident was reported just after 1 a.m. near Las Vegas Boulevard and Four Seasons Drive.
Police said Contreras had a firearm which, at some point, discharged and struck the victim. That person was transported to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
The shooting is still under investigation and will be submitted to the Clark County District Attorney’s Office for review and consideration of additional charges.
The identification of the victim will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Officer.
