LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A man was stabbed to death after trying to break up a fight between his girlfriend’s children near the Las Vegas Strip, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Officers responded to a report of a stabbing at an apartment complex in the 3900 block of Koval Lane near Flamingo Road around 7:20 p.m.
When officers arrived at the apartment they found a man in his 40s suffering from a stab wound. He was taken to Sunrise Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
According to police, a mother, her boyfriend, and her two children were in the apartment at the time of the incident. There was a verbal argument that ensued between the children that escalated into a physical fight.
The mother and her boyfriend attempted to break the fight up when one of the kids, identified as a 15-year-old male, grabbed a knife and stabbed the boyfriend, police said.
According to police, everyone involved with the incident is either in custody or cooperating with the investigation.
