LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police are investigating a deadly stabbing Monday morning in northeast Las Vegas.

The victim, a man around 20 years old, was pronounced dead on the scene in the 3500 block of Full Sail Drive, near Walnut and Gowan roads. He had been found suffering from multiple stab wounds, according to police.

The victim had been involved in a fight with another man before he was stabbed, after which the suspect ran away. The victim went to a residence located about three houses down where someone then called 911, police said.

It’s not known how the two knew each other or what sparked the fight, police said in a news conference. However, they said they believe one of the men lives at the residence where the crime happened.

Officers took a person of interest into custody on Gowan Road just east of Pecos Road but have not officially arrested them yet.

No other details have been released.
