LAS VEGAS (KLAS)– Metro police are investigating a crash involving Nevada Gov. Steve Sisolak on Sunday afternoon.
Police responded to the collision between a Lexus SUV and a red sedan shortly before 1 p.m. near Rainbow Boulevard and Russell Road in the southwest valley.
Police did not say which car the governor was driving.
Sisolak and the other driver were transported to an area hospital where they were treated for non-life-threatening injuries. The governor was released from the hospital around 3 p.m. and was “resting at home.”
The intersection was closed for several hours as police investigated.

“At approximately 1 p.m. this afternoon, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak was involved in a two-car crash at the intersection of Rainbow and Russell. The other driver and Governor Sisolak both appeared to have minor, external injuries but were both taken to UMC as a precaution.
