Aylin Alvarez-Perez, 25, was arrested and booked into the Clark County Detention Center on Friday.

Metro Police said Alvarez-Perez was driving under the influence and “grossly exceeding the speed limit” when she went through the red light near Eastern and Harmon avenues around 8:30 a.m.  Her red Camaro slammed into a gray sedan which had an 8-year-old child in the back seat.

The child’s father and mother were in the driver’s seat and the front passenger seat. They were seriously injured, Metro said.

Police say the initial collision caused the sedan to careen into a third vehicle injuring two other people.

On Tuesday night, a candlelight vigil will be held in honor of Levi, and three other children who senselessly lost their lives last week.  The vigil will that will remember 3-year-old Dejah Hunt, 3-year-old Daniel Theriot, and Levi will be held at Sunset Park in Henderson.
