LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police are investigating a crash that killed a man in North Las Vegas Friday night.
Officers were called to a crash involving a pedestrian and a pick-up truck, shortly after 8:30 p.m., near Civic Center Drive and East Cheyenne Avenue, police said.
Police investigation revealed that a large Dodge pick-up truck was traveling eastbound on Cheyenne and struck a male pedestrian, identified as 45-year-old Jose Manuel Dimasnava, in the number three eastbound travel lane. Dimasnava was not in a crosswalk and died at the scene.
The driver of the Dodge remained on the scene.
Speed, impairment or distracted driving were not considered factors in this investigation.
