LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Clark County Coroner identified Darnell Graham, 36, as the pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run crash May 8. His death was ruled an accident, caused by blunt force trauma.

The incident happened just before 4:30 a.m. on Desert Inn Road at the intersection of La Canada Street.

According to Metro police, a male in his 20’s was driving westbound on Desert Inn, approaching the intersection. He then veered left through the median and the eastbound lanes, hitting the curb. His vehicle continued onto the sidewalk where three pedestrians were standing, waiting at a bus stop.

The vehicle then hit a brick wall, knocked over a light pole and finally hit the three pedestrians. Two of the pedestrians were treated for minor injuries, but one was taken to the hospital with critical injuries. That pedestrian was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

According to police, the driver of the vehicle exited his vehicle after the crash and approached the pedestrians. Once he saw the extent of the injuries they had, he fled the scene on foot.

Police are asking for the public’s help in finding the man responsible for the deadly crash.
