Park service rangers advise against rafts on Lake Mead due to strong winds

Local News

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Winds are gusting across the Las Vegas valley and in the Lake Mead area.

National Park Service rangers want to warn visitors about using rafts on windy days. In this tweet, they show a video of what happens when the raft hits the water on a gusty day. It can be dangerous because people on a raft can drift out in the lake or the raft can overturn.
