UPDATE MARCH 28: Officers are now investigating a death in the area of the barricade situation. Police believe a man was found dead in connection to the incident.
ORIGINAL ARTICLE: SWAT officers with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department are responding to the scene of a barricade in the 7000 block of E. Lake Mead. Police said a person is barricaded in a vehicle.
Everyone is asked to avoid the area.
According to Metro, around 8:21 p.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired in the area. No one was shot, but paramedics transported one person to the hospital for medical reasons.
No other details were released.
