PAHRUMP, Nev. (KLAS) — Nye County deputies have taken an active shooter into custody. The sheriff’s office says no officers were shot, and they did not fire their service weapons.
62-year-old Steven Burson of Pahrump was taken into custody on several charges following the shooting. Burson was not injured in the incident, either.
The incident occurred in the 3200 block of East Kings Way near Homestead Road in Pahrump. Earlier, the sheriff’s office reported deputies are “taking rounds over head.”
The NCSO thanked the Nevada Highway Patrol, Nevada Parole and Probation, US Marshall’s Office, Metro, the Nevada Division of Investigations and Pahrump Valley Fire and Rescue for sending resources, offering assistance or standing by.
