North Las Vegas police investigating homicide near Civic Center, Lake Mead

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — North Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide in the 2600 block of Tonopah Avenue and Civic Center Drive.

It happened at about 5:30 a.m. Thursday.

Police originally responded to the call of an injured person in the area. Once on the scene, they found a man suffering from an unknown injury.

The man, believed to be in his 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say suspect and arrest information is not available at this time to “protect the integrity of the case.”
