LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Nevada Highway Patrol is urging drivers to slow down following a busy overnight shift.
NHP posted photos of four drivers who were clocked driving in excess of 110 mph on Las Vegas valley highways. One of the drivers was arrested for suspicion of DUI.
NHP announced Thursday it will start a crackdown immediately on aggressive drivers and speeders by increasing high-visibility patrols from April 30 through May 10.
According to NHP, speeding related crashes cost society more than $40 billion a year and are the cause of one-third of fatal crashes nationwide.
