UPDATE: NHP investigates deadly crash involving pedestrian at I-15, Primm

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Nevada Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a deadly crash Friday night involving a pedestrian along Interstate 15 at the Primm off-ramp near the California state line.

A preliminary investigation indicates a pedestrian was crossing I-15 from east to west at about 8:45 p.m.

The driver of a silver 2019 Nissan Pathfinder was northbound on I-15 when the pedestrian crossed directly in front of the SUV.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene, according to NHP. The identification of the pedestrian is pending notification of next of kin by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

The ramp was closed for several hours as NHP investigated.

This marks the Nevada Highway Patrol – Southern Command’s 70th fatal crash resulting in 79 fatalities for 2021.
