More office space, dining, and shopping options are coming to Henderson because yet another commercial project is in the works for the western part of the city.
The area has recently seen growth following the announcement that the Raiders training facility would be housed in the area. The company behind the massive project has promised to bring something new to an already busy area.
There are big plans for this undeveloped 12.5-acre property on St. Rose Parkway, west of Spencer Street.
“This is a maximizing really fantastic located property,” said Lance Bradford, the president of Stable Development.
Bradford is behind the 300-thousand square foot project which will include retail, dining, office and medical space.
“We are planning for ‘The Village’ which is a mixed-use complex that fits well into Henderson’s comprehensive plan of growing and developing this community,” Bradford said.
Aside from the pending Raiders facility, a Costco recently opened down the road, and there are plans for another mixed-used property called “The Block” by the Henderson Executive Airport.
“That’s why I got this location because I knew everything that was coming around here,” said Derick Morales, the owner of The Chicken Shack.
Morales opened The Chicken Shack, located along the St. Rose Corridor, just 9-months ago. It’s located next to what will be “The Village.”
“It’s gonna be great; a lot more people, more people coming to the area,” said Morales. “It’s gonna be very well for business owners around here.”
There is a busy commercial area on St. Rose and Eastern, but the focus now is to develop to the west part of the city that has also recently seen many housing projects.
“What we’re seeing here in Henderson now, is probably more than I expected but I am excited to see it,” Bradford said.
The Village will break ground this upcoming April. It’s expected to open in 2020.
