The U.S. Drought Monitor reported a 20-year low for drought across the country, including here in Nevada.
On May 14, 2019, the U.S. Drought Monitor marked it as the lowest drought coverage by area in the United States since 2000.
According to experts, drought conditions have steadily improved in southern Nevada. And at the end of March, Nevada was drought free with ten percent of the state remaining abnormally dry.
However, there are still areas along the west region that remain in a slight to moderate drought.
