LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A motorcyclist is dead following a crash Wednesday morning near the intersection of East Cactus Avenue and Bermuda Way, according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
According to evidence at the scene and witness statements, a motorcycle was traveling northbound on Bermuda Way at a high speed while a delivery truck was traveling southbound. The crash occurred when the truck attempted to make a left turn onto Cactus Avenue causing the motorcycle to crash into the right side of the truck.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. This marks the 35th traffic-related fatality in LVMPD’s jurisdiction from 2023.
The crash was reported around 7:09 a.m. and the intersection was closed in all directions to traffic while police conducted the investigation.
