LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Las Vegas police are investigating a fatal crash involving a 29-year-old male motorcyclist on Flamingo Road near Decatur Boulevard.

Westbound Flamingo is closed to traffic between Decatur and Edmond Street, according to the Regional Transportation Commission.

The crash was reported around 11:24 a.m., police said the collision involved a motorcycle and a white truck.

The motorcyclist, identified as 29-year-old Robert Schneider, was traveling westbound on Flamingo when the driver of a box truck failed to yield and crossed his travel path when they both collided, according to police.

Schneider was transported to University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the box truck remained at the scene of the crash and did not show any signs of impairment, police said.

The motorcyclist’s death marks the 104th traffic-related death in the LVMPD’s jurisdiction this year.
