LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Traffic Bureau says nearly 70% of pedestrian fatalities in its jurisdiction this year are “due to pedestrian error.”
Out of 99 deaths, 42 were pedestrians, according to a Metro Facebook post.
Police ask the public to:
- Cross at crosswalks
- Be seen
- Move with a purpose
- Look for drivers to clear your path before entering the roadway
