LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Two men are dead following a shooting in the 300 block of East Harmon Avenue, near Koval Lane. It happened around 5:30 p.m. Friday.

The two victims have been identified as:

  • Sean Maurice McLemore, 32, African American male with cause of death being gunshot wounds, manner is homicide.
  • Antwan LaRaye Pope Jr., 30, African American male with cause of death being gunshot wound of the head, manner is homicide.

Metro Police say dispatchers received many calls about a shooting at the Harbor Island Apartments.

After arriving on scene, police located two male victims suffering from gunshot wounds. One was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other man was taken to the hospital and was later pronounced dead.

The investigation indicates two victims were involved in a fight with an unidentified suspect.

During the fight, the suspect pulled out a handgun and fired multiple times at the victims, striking them. The suspect, police say, then fled the apartment complex in an unknown vehicle.

The suspect is described as a Black man, about 6 feet 4 inches and approximately 210 pounds. He has long hair, and was reportedly wearing a dark gray shirt and blue jeans.

Metro Lt. Richard Meyers says there was an incident during the investigation in which a person drove through the police perimeter. That person is being investigated for DUI.

Police say it was a “dynamic scene” with many witnesses.
