Local News

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Metro Police are investigating after a man was killed in a shooting at an apartment complex east of The Strip Saturday night.

Police were in the 3600 block of Paradise Road, near Twain Avenue, at around 6 p.m. Saturday. At that time, officers were flagged down by a person who said their friend had been shot inside a car at the Emerald Suites.

First responders attempted to render aid to the victim. He was then transported to Sunrise Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

After an investigation, it was discovered the victim arrived at the apartment complex with a friend to meet with another man.

The victim was in the parking lot with the suspect for a brief time before the suspect shot and killed him. The friend then went and flagged down police.

Police say the suspect is described as a “thin, Black male in early 20s,” as a man fitting that description was seen fleeing the suspect’s car shortly after the shooting.

Metro Police are asking public to reach out if they have information.
