Police: Ex-boyfriend on the run after stabbing victim to death in parking lot

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Metro Police are searching for a suspect following a deadly stabbing in the western part of the valley.

It happened in a parking lot near the intersection of Westcliff Drive and Buffalo Drive, just south of Summerlin Parkway, at about 8:30 p.m.

Police say a woman, along with her mother, met her ex-boyfriend at the business to exchange some personal items. The two had broken up several days before.

Metro Lt. Ray Spencer says during the meeting, the man pulled a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times before fleeing the scene on foot.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Lt. Spencer says the victim’s mother rendered first aid while waiting for first responders.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his early 40s. He fled the scene on foot and police are currently searching for him.
