A portion of W. Charleston and S. Rainbow boulevards were closed Wednesday night as Metro Police investigated a shooting in the area.
According to police, around 5:20 p.m. officers were called to the 6700 block of W. Charleston Boulevard to investigate reports of shots fired.
When Metro arrived at the scene, one person was found shot. The person was taken to UMC with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect was detained by police.
No word on what led to the incident. There wasn’t any other information released.
