Metro Police had to jump into action briefly at McCarran International Airport Friday.  According to police, a man ran onto the tarmac.

Everything first unfolded around 2:59 p.m. at the Terrible Herbst gas station near the airport.  Metro said a man who stole something from the convenience store was being chased by officers when he jumped a fence onto the airport’s tarmac.

The man was taken into custody shortly after. No one was hurt and there weren’t any flights delayed.
