Clark County Registrar of Voters; ‘We’re coming to a close’ on ballot counting

Local News

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Clark County Registrar of Voters said that his staff processed a little more than 1,200 mail-in ballots and the numbers of ballots coming into the office has dwindled. They received seven mail-in ballots Tuesday morning.

“It’s going to be a small group of ballots that come through the mail now. The only things we have left are cures and the ID requests from Friday,” Gloria said during his daily update. “We’re obviously coming to a close on everything that’s going to be counted in Clark County.”

WATCH DAILY UPDATE:

The deadline to receive mail-in ballots is today and the deadline for ballots that need signature cures is Thursday by 5 p.m.

Gloria said his staff is making “good progress” on the provisional electronic ballots and those should be all loaded into the system by Thursday. He did not release a number on how many of the provisional ballots had been verified and were ready to be counted.

When asked if anyone has inquired about an election recount, Gloria said he has had a few inquiries about how the process works. He did add that if someone wants a recount, it must be requested within three days after the canvassing of the ballots on Nov. 16.
