LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Metro says they are investigating a sexual assault call that turned into a barricade situation in a residential neighborhood near Washington Avenue and Valley View Boulevard. Officers were focusing on a home on Langry Drive Monday morning, but cleared the residence and did not locate the suspect.
Metro, SWAT and crisis negotiators were on scene working on the barricade situation.
According to Metro, the situation began as a sexual assault investigation. As of 10:30 a.m., officials said they were still trying to get the suspect to come out of the residence. Around 11 a.m., they cleared the house and did not find the suspect.
Traffic was blocked off on Snead Drive and Chabot Drive, but should be cleared up soon.
Metro says this is an ongoing investigation.
