LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Two people were killed in separate crashes on Las Vegas valley roads early Thursday.

The first crash happened on I-15 near Starr Avenue around midnight. That crash caused traffic to be diverted onto St. Rose Parkway.

Another person was killed around 2:30 a.m. when they drove into the back of a semi-truck on US95/I-11 near Horizon Drive. That crash caused the southbound lanes to be closed for nearly six hours.

NHP is investigating both crashes.
