LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Police are investigating a crash that occurred Thursday at Elkhorn and Cimarron Roads near Centennial Hills Park.

It involved two vehicles and was reported as a crash with injuries around 11:35 a.m.

According to police, the 21-year-old male driver of a Hyundai Sonata was headed east on Elkhorn nearing the intersection at Cimarron in a right-turn lane.

The 22-year-old male driver of a Volkswagen Jetta was northbound on Cimarron entering the intersection in a left-turn lane when the front of the Hyundai hit the left side of the Volkswagen.

The driver of the Hyundai was taken to Centennial Hills Hospital for his injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Volkswagen was taken to UMC for life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department
