UPDATE: Police investigating Sunday night shooting east of Las Vegas Strip

LAS VEGAS (KLAS)– One man is dead and police are searching for suspects after a shooting Sunday night just east of the Las Vegas Strip.

Homicide detectives were called to the scene just after 10 p.m. at Paradise just south of Sahara Avenue after a man was shot following an argument involving two other men.

The shooting occurred just after the three men got off an RTC bus, police said. they got off the bus “to engage in a fight,” police said.

“One of the suspects pulled out a handgun and shot the victim. Both males fled the scene prior to officer’s arrival,” according to a Las Vegas Police Department news release.

Police are reviewing surveillance video, but they have not provided detailed descriptions of suspects.

When officers arrived, they found a man with an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to Sunrise Trauma, where he was pronounced dead.

The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Photos from the scene Sunday night showed police vehicles under the monorail station connecting to the SAHARA Las Vegas.

Streets were closed in the area during the investigation.
