Coroner identifies man shot, killed in southeast Valley

HENDERSON, Nev. (KLAS) — The Clark County Coroner identified Edgar Monzon-Serrano, 22, as the man shot and killed in the southeast Valley March 27.

Henderson Police investigated the homicide in the 200 block of Shoshone Friday afternoon. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Monzon-Serrano deceased of an apparent gunshot wound and a 27-year-old male with minor injuries.

The initial investigation found that two men pulled up to a home in their vehicle when another vehicle pulled up and a man, who is being called the suspect, got out of the vehicle.

Police said a struggle ensued resulting in the man shooting Monzon-Serrano and striking the other victim over the head with an unknown object.

Police said the suspect fled the scene in a white compact vehicle with dark tinted windows and chrome rims.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man of unknown age with a long beard and bushy hair. Henderson police said he was wearing gray shorts, and a burgundy shirt.
