Hawaiian Airlines, which offers direct flights between Las Vegas and Hawaii, is offering passengers travel waivers due to Hurricane Lane.
Any passengers with flights departing from Aug. 21 through Aug. 26 will be permitted a one-time reservation change with no change fee, however there are some provisions. Click here for more information.
Among, other requirements, the new flights must take place before Sept. 9, 2018.
The National Weather Service said that Hurricane Lane had become a Category 5 hurricane, which means that it is likely to cause catastrophic damage with winds 157 mph or above. As of Wednesday morning, it was about 320 miles southeast of Hilo on the big island of Hawaii.
