The driver accused of causing a deadly seven-car crash on Tropicana Avenue near Eastern Avenue on Sunday morning is facing a DUI charges, according to Metro Police.
The driver is identified as 35-year-old Lonnie Isabell and he is facing several charges of DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm and vehicular homicide.
According to police, Isabell, who was driving a Mercury Montego left a parking lot at a high rate of speed and when a Clark County Park Police officer attempted to stop him, he sped off running a red light and colliding with another vehicle. That driver was killed.
The two vehicles ended up hitting five other cars at the intersection. Multiple people, including Isabell, were transported to the hospital.
