LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Kathryn Murphy, 75, was identified as the woman killed in a traffic collision at Rainbow Boulevard and Eldora Avenue in the west Valley Monday morning. The death was ruled accidental, caused by blunt force injuries.
According to police, a 2019 Nissan Altima was traveling southbound on Rainbow in the left travel lane when a 2010 Toyota Prius pulled into its path from a stop sign. The Nissan struck the Toyota on the driver side.
Both drivers were transported to UMC Trauma where the driver of the Toyota was pronounced dead. The 26-year-old driver of the Nissan sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say neither driver appeared impaired.
The collision shut down southbound Rainbow at Laredo Street.
