LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — A multi-vehicle crash in the southwest Las Vegas valley left a 21-year-old man dead and two others hospitalized Friday afternoon.

Around 1:43 p.m., police received a call reporting a crash in the area of West Russell and Lindell roads.

Police said two vehicles were driving westbound on Russell Road when a third vehicle was traveling northbound on Lindell. The third vehicle tried to cross the intersection when it clipped one of the other vehicles, causing it to crash into another car and then a pole, police said.

Two of the drivers were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle that crashed into the pole was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.

At this time, impairment is not considered a factor.
