The Clark County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman whose body was found in the home of a man shot and killed by North Las Vegas police last week.

She is identified as 32-year-old Ingred Juares. Her cause of death is listed as a homicide due to “multiple sharp force injuries.”

The suspect, who died after being shot multiple times by police, was identified as 37-year-old Horatio Ruiz Rodriguez.

Police said they were alerted to Rodriguez’s home near Lake Mead Boulevard and 5th Street when another woman contacted them saying she had escaped from the residence after Rodriguez sexually assaulted her. She reported to police she had seen a dead body at the home.

When North Las Vegas Police arrived at the residence, police said Rodriguez attempted to leave, ignored police commands and made a threatening move as if to grab a weapon from his waistband.

Four officers opened fire killing Rodriguez.

North Las Vegas Police said an investigation showed Rodriguez was not armed but a cellphone was found near his body.
