Construction for new ice rink begins in Henderson

HENDERSON (KLAS) – The city of Henderson will soon get its own ice rink.

On Monday, an event called “Knock Down, Knights Up” will usher in construction to the old convention center. The City of Henderson voted to allow the Las Vegas Golden Knights to build a new facility at the location.

The rink will look very similar to City National Arena: two sheets of ice, meeting spaces, and room for retail.

The $25 million dollar project is expected to wrap up in July 2020.
