LAS VEGAS (KLAS) –– Stormy weather is moving into the Las Vegas valley and it could stay around for much of the afternoon.

This is video of hail near Cheyenne and Torrey Pines.

Thunder, lightning, hail and high winds are being reported in the Kyle Canyon area and in various spots around the Las Vegas valley. This video is from Blue Diamond and Mountains Edge and was shot by B.J. Moore.

Here is another video from Ann Road and the 215.

Those cells are firing off thunderstorms with vivid lightning and some moderate to heavy rainfall. While most of the lightning is contained in California for now, southern Nevadans expect to see some of the same types of storms here.

Some afternoon storms could contain small hail and strong outflow winds. But watch the skies for dangerous lightning that could last well into the evening. High temperatures will stay much cooler than the weekend with mid-to-upper 70s.
