A convenience store clerk shot and killed a man who was attempting to steal cases of beer Friday morning, according to Metro Police.
The deadly shooting happened at a Sinclair gas station on North Las Vegas Boulevard near Washington Avenue around 6:15 a.m.

Police said a man and woman entered the convenience store, stole three cases of beer, and then ran to a waiting car in the parking lot. A male store clerk got into a brief struggle with the male suspect as he was attempting to get in the car. A female clerk armed with a gun ran into the parking lot and shot at the car hitting the male suspect in the leg and lower back.
The three suspects, including the man who was shot, fled in the car. The injured man was dropped off at University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. The female clerk has been taken into custody and is being questioned at this time.
