Teachers within the Clark County School District may not get a raise anytime soon, according to a proposed budget presented by CCSD Superintendent Dr. Jesus Jara.
At the CCSD Board of Trustees meeting Thursday night, Jara presented a letter saying that they released their tentative budget for the 2019-2020 school year.
During the meeting, he said that “As it stands today, this proposed budget does not include funding for employee increases.”
He went on to say that “salary increases would require either new funding or cuts to existing services that deserves serious public discussions.”
