LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Clark County Fire Department responded to a two-alarm fire Friday night near the area of State Street and Karen Avenue. Officials say the call came out around 6:20 p.m., and crews were able to get water on the fire within five minutes.
Officials say a second alarm was called due to the length of the incident and the excessive heat. In total, three trucks, eight fire engines, four rescue units, two Battalion Chiefs and the Air Resource were dispatched to the fire. Over 50 personnel made up those fighting the fire.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue also responded to the scene of the fire.
Officials say no civilians were hurt, but one firefighter was transported to the hospital. Officials have not released the extent of the firefighter’s injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
